TMJ Disorder
Muscle relaxant injections, such as Botox®, offer an effective solution for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder, easing the discomfort caused by jaw clenching and teeth grinding.
By relaxing the overactive jaw muscles, Botox helps reduce tension and relieve symptoms like jaw pain, headaches, and facial discomfort. The treatment is quick, minimally invasive, and generally well-tolerated, with many patients experiencing noticeable relief.
Regular treatment can improve your quality of life by managing pain and helping to prevent further joint damage.

Most people will be suitable for TMJ disorder treatment, but it may not be advisable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or receiving IVF treatment. Your medical history will be discussed, at your post-treatment consultation and any concerns will be addressed before treatment commences.
This treatment is usually described as very comfortable by most patients, only experiencing some slight discomfort on administration.
A small mark at the point of application may be seen immediately prior to the treatment, but patients often see this settle within a few minutes. On some occasions, mild bruising has been experienced, which will subside fairly quickly.
This treatment results in minimal downtime being experienced. You may need to allow any marking to subside before you leave, say 10 minutes, but you can carry on your daily pursuits fairly quickly after treatment.
